Parents & Carers,
Today we had more students at school than yesterday.
The great news for parents to know is that we have plenty of anti-bacterial soap and toilet paper that we had in our storeroom before all the panic buying. We ordered more today so we join the waitlist of companies who have ordered supplies. That just means there should be a slight overlap and we won’t run out of supplies.
Again I want to thank our teachers for their diligence with hand washing and disinfectant cleaning of surfaces in their classrooms and the Learning Hub. You are all awesome!
We are having a pizza lunch for the teachers tomorrow just to say it’s Friyay and to recognize that we know it’s been a challenging week for everyone. Yes we could be healthy but sometimes you just need some fun food.
Further cancellations:
- No Anglican scripture for the remainder of term.
- No contractors allowed in any DoE schools so we have put a few projects on hold.
- our audit has been pushed back until term 2, so that is a bit of a win! Our preparations have been interrupted as you can well imagine.
The split break times are working very well. We are also splitting primary sport tomorrow into stage 2 and stage 3 sessions to minimize the number of students together.
Have a good weekend everyone. Maybe watch/listen to the news without the kids in earshot. Information is important but our brains are developed enough to deal with the constant barrage. Little people are not ready for this and it is just too overwhelming and scary for them.
Stay at home if you can and continue safe hygiene practices. Check on elderly and/or disabled neighbours and relatives and see if they need any assistance. Look after each other and I will update you again on Monday.
