Special religious education
At Hoxton Park Public School, we facilitate a special religious education (SRE) program every Thursday from 10 to 10:30am. A classroom teacher is always present during SRE to supervise the students. In the event that students do not participate in any SRE program, there are non-SRE classrooms available for the duration of the program.
The following SRE classes are made available to students at our school:
- Catholic
- Orthodox
- Anglican
- Muslim
Children must attend SRE if parents have given their consent in writing at the time of enrolment. A note is required from parents if they do not want their child to attend SRE anymore.
